KMJ SF6 Gas Density Relay
It is applicable for monitoring the SF6 gas density in a sealed vessel. It can show gas density values on the site. When the gas density reaches the preset value, the contact-making device will send alarm and control signals. It can be widely used in electric equipment including SF6-insulated composite apparatus, circuit breakers, pole-mounted switches, transformers and mutual inductors. It provides solutions for new construction of transformer substations and inteligent reconstruction of existing transformer substations.

Working Mechanism
Density Relay is composed of the density detection system including pressure sensing elements, a drive mechanism, temperature compensation elements, an indication unit and an electric contact unit.
It uses the pressure measuring principle with temperature compensation to measure the pressure of the F6 gas under certain density in the sealed vessel for field test and control through a density detection system thus achieves the goal of gas density monitoring.
In a sealed vessel, the pressure of SF6 gas under certain temperature(20 ℃)can be seen as the gas density under this temperature(20 ℃).
We take the SF6 gas pressure value under 20C as the representative value of its density and also as the scale value. When the ambient temperature changes, the temperature compensation elements will compensate for the gas pressure change caused by the temperature change. Therefore, as long as the SF6 gas density remains unchanged, the indication value of the density meter will keep the same .
When SF6 gas is filled into the sealed vessel or the gas changes, pressure sensing elements will make displacement which is converted into the indication value through the drive mechanism. When the ambient temperature change induces the indication value change, the temperature compensation elements will make compensation and correction.
