KMJ SF6 Gas Density Relay

It is applicable for monitoring the SF6 gas density in a sealed vessel. It can show gas density values on the site. When the gas density reaches the preset value, the contact-making device will send alarm and control signals. It can be widely used in electric equipment including SF6-insulated composite apparatus, circuit breakers, pole-mounted switches, transformers and mutual inductors. It provides solutions for new construction of transformer substations and inteligent reconstruction of existing transformer substations.

KMJZ SF6 Gas Auto Calibration Density Relay

The product is applicable for monitoring the density of SF6 gas in sealed vessels. It can display gas density value on the site.

When the gas density reaches the preset value, the contact-making device will send an alarm and control signals. Gas fl, micro-water test and calibration can be implemented without removal of the SF6 gas density relay so as to prevent unnecessary leak of SF6 gas during these procedures. It can be widely used for composite apparatus, circuit breakers, pole-mounted switches, transformers, mutual inductors and other electric equipment. It provides solutions for new construction of transformer substations and intelligent reconstruction of existing transformer substations.

When SF6 gas is filled into the sealed vessel or the gas changes, pressure sensing elements will make displacement which is converted into the indication value through the drive mechanism. When the ambient temperature change induces the indication value change, the temperature compensation elements will make compensation and correction.

Take the rated value of 1.4 bar as an example: take 20 ℃ as the boundary. When the ambient temperature is lower than 20 ℃, the indicating value is larger (+ 2.5%); when the ambient temperature is higher than 20 ℃, the indicating value is smaller (- 2.5%); when the ambient temperature is 20 ℃, the indicating value is 1.4 bar (± 1.5%).

In the electric contact unit, when SF6 gas density lowers to certain preset value, correct and reliable alarm or lock control signals will be sent out to ensure normal and safe operation of the electric equipment.

Installation and Use

●Before installation, check whether the measuring range of density meter conforms to the SF6 gas pressure value in the sealed container to avoid overpressure damaging the instrument. When selecting the instrument, it shall be noted that the upper limit of the pressure in the actual instant shall not exceed 1.2 times of the full measuring range of the instrument.

●During the installation, avoid the collision of density meter and the collision of interface sealing surface.

The installation position shall be truly reflect the SF6 gas pressure inside the sealed vessel.

●Density meter shall be installed vertically. During outdoor installation, sunscreen and rainproof cover shall be installed above.

●During the installation, the tightness of the threaded joint shall be strictly guaranteed, and there shall be no small leakage.

●After the installation, the screw at the filling port of the density relay must be unscrewed to connect the cavity of the density relay with the atmosphere(shock resistant),so as to ensure the accuracy of the measurement.

●Recommended cable size: 0.5mm² for KMJ60 products :

1.5mm² for KMJ100 products, with a maximum of 2.5mm²

●KMJ60 products shall firmly connect the wire end to the electrical equipment terminal according to the wire number requirements; according to the requirements of the product, KMJ100 shall plug the junction box plug into the product socket reliably, tighten the compression nut of the outlet, check and confirm that the sealing ring clamps the conductor sheath to ensure that the conductor is not loose and can effectively prevent water and other liquids from infiltrating, and the conductor end is firmly connected to the terminal of electrical equipment.
